PAPWORTH SAY "THANK YOU" TO THE NORFOLK ZIPPER CLUB
46 Members and friends headed to Papworth on 10 July 2012 for a marquee lunch. We were delighted to see some "original" members who had managed to join us, what a delight. The lunch was hosted by Papworth to honour our 30 years of hard work raising funds for much needed equipment. The marquee was decked with photographs and press reports from our early days to the present. We do work hard!
The "Welcome" from Mr Robert Burgin, Chairman, the "thank you" from Mr Stephen Bridge, Chief Executive and "what our hard work has meant to their patients" from Mrs Pam Blomiley was very emotional and it soon became obvious how much Papworth appreciate work the Norfolk Zipper Club has done over the years. Robin, on behalf of us all, thanked those at Papworth who had worked so hard to make the day such a success.
For those of us who wanted "to give something back to Papworth" for our new lease of life has certainly been achieved.
We munched and chatted our way through a delightful lunch and all too soon, headed home.
Here are a few snapshots of the day - more are on their way from the Papworth's "official" photographer.
Thanks Papworth, we all enjoyed your hospitality.
